Xiao Ye, a scientist, is guided by Tian Ming, a villager, to study the ecology of the flora and fauna of an island village. They stumble upon Tian Ming's older brother, Tian Zhao, and what they find in the mountains is the body of Xiao Guang, a villager. Soon after, they find Xiao Guang's girlfriend, Xiao Mei, and take her to the hospital.
